Our Mission

The 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-US Combined Division is the last remaining permanently forward-stationed division in the U.S. Army. The 2nd Infantry Division deters aggression and maintains peace on the Korean Peninsula; and if deterrence fails, “Fight Tonight” in support of the U.S-Republic of Korea Alliance.

3rd Cavalry Regiment arrives in South Korea as Rotational Force

A U.S. Army Stryker drives off a transportation ship in the Republic of Korea on Jan 30, 2024. The 3rd Cavalry Regiment will replace the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division as part of a regular rotation of forces to support the United States Commitment to the ROK.
