Welcome to the 2nd Infantry Division

Welcome to the 2nd Infantry Division Family! The 2nd Infantry Division is the only permanently forward deployed US division in the world and we must and we will always be trained and ready. Our relationship with the Republic of Korea is one of great honor, respect and dignity and we are proud to serve side by side with our ROK partners.

Even though the training standards are high, we also provide a balanced life here in the division. It is our responsibility to take care of Soldiers and their Families because our Families constitute the solid foundation that sustains our readiness. Our guiding principle will be Families first whenever possible.

This division represents the commitment of the United States to peace, prosperity and freedom here in the Republic of Korea. We have an important mission and Families play a vital role in the success of our mission.
