Like a dragonfly
27 Aug, 2015
During the summer in South Korea it is the best weather for dragonflies. As the sun gets hotter, the butterflies that flourished during the spring time fade, and dragonflies take over the grass. If you take a walk down the flight line on Camp Humphreys, you will see dozens of dragonflies, dancing around the aircraft. If you look up the sky, the chances that you will see an OH-58 Kiowa helicopter are as often as you will the dragonflies.

2nd CAB Soldier saves life
5 Aug, 2015
An act of heroism by definition is an act of great bravery or courage. People who display heroism are said to deserve much praise and appreciation. A firefighter rescues a daughter from a burning building. A bomb dog detects a bomb and prevents the loss of many lives. A Soldier saves a man from being hit by a speeding train. If all of these events are the definition of being heroic, then a Soldier from the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade could be considered a true hero.
Smooth transition
5 Aug, 2015
Arriving to a new place can be daunting for anyone, but arriving to a new country where you don't know a single person is a whole new concept. The water is a deep blue and the waves are crashing against the raft like bumper cars slamming into each other. You stare out as far as you can see but with no purpose as there is not an object within hundreds of miles. You look around the raft at each of the other four people's faces and begin to make assumptions about them before anyone even says a word. You realize the raft is taking on water, and if someone doesn't get off you will all sink to the bottom of the abyss. Who do you get rid of?

13 May, 2015
The cold blue water moved back and forth like the waves in an ocean. One after another, Soldiers jumped in with no hesitation. The water splashed against the side of the pool, spilling over onto the other Soldiers feet. With one hand, they held the edge and with the other a rubber rifle. They waited as still as a fishing boat in the middle of a pond and on the word "go" began treading the water to stay afloat and to keep their team's dream alive.
