On 21 April 2017, a CPT from 2ID was found guilty at a general court-martial in accordance with his pleas of conspiracy, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman. The military judge sentenced the accused to be dismissed from service and to be confined for 3 years. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 18 months.
On 10 April 2017, a SPC from 2CAB was found guilty at a general court-martial in accordance with his pleas of possession of child pornography, impersonating another Soldier, and attempted distribution of child pornography. The military judge sentenced the accused to be dishonorably discharged from the service, reduced to E-1, and to be confined for three years. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 18 months.
On 10 April 2017, a 1LT from 2ID was found guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman, adultery, and fraternization. Punishment consisted of forfeiture of $2,293 for two months, restriction for 60 days, and a written reprimand. This record of punishment was directed to be filed in the performance section of the OMPF.
On 22 March 2017, a CPT from 2ID was found guilty of a false official statement and adultery. Punishment consisted of forfeiture of $3,340 for two months, restriction for 60 days (suspended for 90 days), and a written reprimand. This record of punishment was directed to be filed in the performance section of the OMPF.
On 22 February 2017, a SGT from 2CAB was found guilty at a general court-martial of sexual assault of a child, of sexual abuse of a child, and assault consummated by battery. The military judge sentenced the accused to be dishonorably discharged from the service and to be confined for 22 years. As part of an offer to plead guilty, a pretrial agreement limited confinement to 20 years.
On 8 February 2017, a CPT from 2ID was found guilty of a curfew violation and for conduct unbecoming an officer and gentlemen. Punishment consisted of forfeiture of $1,000 pay (suspended for 180 days), restriction for 45 days, and a written reprimand. This record of punishment was directed to be filed in the restricted section of the OMPF.
On 8 February 2017, a SPC from 210th FA was found guilty of assault upon a military police officer in execution of law enforcement duties. Punishment consisted of reduction to E3, forfeiture of $1,002 pay per month for 2 months (suspended for 90 days). The appeal to the CG, 8th Army, was denied.
On 8 February 2017, a PFC from 210th FA was found guilty of resisting arrest and for being drunk and disorderly. Punishment consisted of reduction to E2, forfeiture of $896 pay per month for 2 months (suspended for 90 days), extra duty for 45 days, and restriction for 45 days. The appeal to the CG, 8th Army, was denied.
On 8 February 2017, a SPC from 210th FA was found guilty of resisting arrest and for being drunk and disorderly. Punishment consisted of reduction to E2 (suspended for 100 days), extra duty for 45 days, and restriction for 45 days. The appeal to the CG, 8th Army, was denied.
