Congratulations on your selection and assignment to the 2nd Infantry Division-ROK/US Combined Division. You will soon be a part of the only permanently forward stationed and combined division in the United States Army.
Our division has a long and distinctive history serving the U.S. since October 26, 1917. During your tour, you will have the chance to understand the history and shape the future of this combined division. While our division has continuously served on the Korean Peninsula since 1965, we have only been combined since 2015, bringing together the best from both the ROK and U.S. Armies. We look forward to your contributions, especially the unique experiences and technical expertise you bring.
This is an Assignment of Purpose. From Camp Humphreys, the largest power projection platform in the Pacific, to Camp Casey, located 13 miles from the Demilitarized Zone, our units have one singular focus—remain ready to deter aggression and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula; and if deterrence fails, “Fight Tonight” in support of the U.S.-ROK Alliance.
During your transition to the Warrior Division, we are committed to providing any assistance that you may require before and throughout your transition period. Our units are prepared to welcome you and your Family and provide the resources necessary to be a self-reliant and resilient member of the Warrior Family.
