Brigadier General Brandon Anderson is a career Field Artillery officer and a native of Oregon. He has commanded at the Battery, Battalion and Brigade level and has held numerous operational and Joint assignments.

Upon commissioning through the University of Oregon ROTC, he attended the Field Artillery Office Basic Course at FT Sill, OK. Subsequently, he was assigned to 1-320th FA of 2nd BDE, 101st Air Assault, FT Campbell, KY.   

Later, upon graduation of the Armor Captain’s Career Course he was assigned to 2-3 FA of 1st BDE, 1st AD in Giessen, Germany. Following, he attended CGSC at FT Leavenworth, KS.  He was then assigned to 2-2 Stryker BDE at Joint Base Lewis-McChord before commanding 4-27th FA BN in 2nd BDE, 1st AD at Ft Bliss, TX.  Recently, he commanded 17th FA BDE and was the 7th ID Chief of Staff, both at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

He has worked within the office of the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Office of the Chief Legislative Liaison and Colonels Management Office.

His education includes the UK Higher Command and Staff and the Army War College at Carlisle, PA.  He is a graduate of Command and General Staff College, Armor Captain’s Career Course and the Field Artillery Basic Course.

He and his wife, Gina have three children. Hunter, a student at Central Washington University, Sam, a student at the University of Oregon and Claire a Sophomore at Lakes High School, WA.
