Colonel Guy M. Jones

Colonel Guy M. Jones, a native of Texarkana, Texas, was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in May 1994 from Texas A&M University. He holds both a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Masters Degree in Military Arts and Science.

Colonel Jones’ previous assignments include: Rifle Platoon Leader, Support Platoon Leader, and Battalion S4 for 2nd Battalion, 187 Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); Aide-de-Camp for the Assistant Division Commander.

Colonel Jones is a graduate of the Infantry Officer’s Basic and Advanced Courses, the Command and General Staff College, and the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), US Army War College Fellow at George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (one silver oak leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (four oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (V device and oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (four oak leaf clusters), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Colonel Jones wears the Ranger and Pathfinder Tabs as well as the Combat and Expert Infantry Badges, Jumpmaster and the Airborne and Air Assault Badges.

Colonel Jones is a graduate of the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies.

Colonel Jones is married and has two children.
