Colonel Jerome A. Parker

COL Parker is married and has a son and daughter.

COL Jerome Parker commissioned in the U.S Army upon graduating from the Old Dominion University in 2001. His first assignment was 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Hovey, Korea; where, he served as a Mechanized Rifle Platoon Leader from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, COL Parker was hired by the 75th Ranger Regiment and served as Platoon Leader in 1st Ranger Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia until 2005.

After completing the Infantry Captains Career Course, COL Parker served as a Squadron Logistics Officer and Troop commander in 1st Squadron, 33rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky from 2005 to 2008. COL Parker then returned to the 75th Ranger Regiment where he was assigned to 2nd Ranger Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington from 2008 to 2011. At 2nd Ranger Battalion, COL Parker served as a staff officer and company commander.

Following completion of the Command and General Staff College, COL Parker served as a Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer in 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, COL Parker served as the Executive Officer of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. The brigade served as the ground component of the Global Response Force. After COL Parker’s service in the 82nd Airborne Division, he served as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General, XVIII Airborne Corps from 2015-2016. From 2016 to 2018, COL Parker served as the commander of 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. From 2018 to 2019, COL Parker served as the Regimental Tactical Officer for the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. During his tenure, COL Parker served as the senior officer responsible for the execution and coordination of cadet summer training. COL Parker is a graduate of the Army War College, where he participated in the National Security Policy Program.

COL Parker deployed numerous times to Afghanistan and Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism, serving as a platoon leader, company commander, battle captain, logistics officer, and operations officer. In 2016, COL Parker deployed with the Corps Headquarters to Iraq and served as the Aid-de-Camp to the Commanding General, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherit Resolve. In 2017, COL Parker led 1-87 Infantry on a no-notice deployment to Afghanistan in support of NATO Special Operations Command-Afghanistan.

COL Parker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University, a Masters in International Relations from Webster University, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
